Sundays on Sutcliffe~Weekend of March 5th

A fabulous weekend.  The kids spent the weekend at Gary and Deniece's, which they love and Jamie and I got some much needed free time.

August came up so he and Jamie enjoyed themselves primarily in town, and I held down the homestead.  On Saturday I started out the day at Govenor Dodge State Park and snowshoed a 5 mile trail.  It was a gorgeous morning and I was in my element.

Jamie and August came home around 3 pm and then shortly after that Adrian, Colleen and Derek stopped by on their way home from Cave of the Mounds.  The first impromptu "Sunday's on Sutcliffe" happened on Sat. afternoon.  What would have been turkey sandwiches and salad for the 3 of us became a big luch of Barbeque Tempeh and Turkey sandwiches.  This is exactly what I am aiming for.  I'd like my friends to wonder, "what's going on at Jamie and Linda's?" and just call or stop by.  It was a really nice get together and then everyone left early evening to go to a show in town.

I was in bed by 9 pm which rarely happens.  Aaaah.  Peace and quiet, except for Cleo, the meower.

The daffodils are really emerging and I have spotted some tulips making their way too.   Seems a little early but it's nice to see.  Bring on Spring.
